Dr Brad La Ferlita

Brad La Ferlita is a qualified specialist Anaesthetist. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1997. Following this he worked at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne where he completed his specialist anaesthesia training and became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2005.

Brad's further training includes a fellowship in cardiac anaesthesia and transoesophageal echocardiography at Vancouver General Hospital in Canada in 2004/2005, and two years as a staff anaesthetist at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne. On return to Australia he was appointed as a consultant anaesthetist at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.

He currently practices at a number of private hospitals in Melbourne. His areas of interests include regional anaesthesia, especially pertaining to orthopaedic, urologic and ophthalmologic surgery, as well as the challenges of ambulatory surgery. He is also a member of several Anaesthetic advisory committees at various private hospitals around Melbourne. 

Away from the operating theatre he enjoys keeping fit to keep up with his three active sons, The Melbourne Football Club, travelling and dining out.
